Terms of Use
1. Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using PINote, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use PINote. You must also follow laws that apply to your device, files, and location.
2. License
Subject to these terms, the PINote operator grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use PINote on a compatible Mac that you own or control. Except as permitted by law or expressly allowed here, you may not rent, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, modify, distribute, or attempt to extract PINote’s source code.
3. Your content
You are responsible for notes, attachments, and other content that you create, import, store, sync, or export with PINote. PINote does not take ownership of that content and does not use it for advertising or training. You must have the rights needed to handle the content and are responsible for keeping backups of important material.
4. File access and third-party services
Import, export, backup, and folder sync process only files or folders that you explicitly choose through the macOS file picker. You may choose a directory provided by a third-party sync service; that service is not operated by PINote, and its own terms and privacy policy apply.
PINote Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase offered through the Apple App Store. Pricing, payment, taxes, refunds, and transaction records are handled under Apple’s applicable terms and processes; the PINote operator does not receive your payment details.
5. Prohibited use
You may not use PINote for unlawful activity, to infringe another person’s intellectual property or privacy, to distribute malware, to bypass system security, or to interfere with the normal operation of the app or related services.
6. Updates and availability
The PINote operator may provide updates, fixes, feature changes, or end support for certain system versions. PINote is provided “as is” and “as available”; to the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the PINote operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use PINote, lost files, failed backups, third-party storage outages, or external-link content. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Termination
You may stop using PINote and delete it at any time. The license ends automatically if you materially breach these terms. After termination, stop using PINote and delete copies under your control, except for backups retained as permitted by law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the app, law, or our operations change. Continuing to use PINote after an update means you accept the updated terms. We will update the effective date and explain material changes where appropriate.
10. Apple notice
These terms are between you and the PINote operator, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for PINote and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them after you accept them.
